Before you begin

  1. Check that your mounting hardware kit contains all the parts listed.

  2. Use a 3/32" drill bit to pre-drill screw holes into a wall stud or header board. For hollow drywall or plaster, use #6 wall anchors (not included).

  • Shades up to 48" wide: 2 mounting brackets
  • Shades up to 72" wide: 3 mounting brackets
  • Place a bracket about 1" to 6" from each end of the headrail. On shades with 3 or more brackets, space the extras evenly between the two outer brackets.

Outside mount

  1. Clip the brackets onto the headrail: tuck the front edge of each bracket under the inner front edge of the headrail, then push the headrail up until the flexible tab at the bottom of the bracket snaps onto the back of the headrail.

  2. Hold the shade level at the height you want, centered over the window opening.

  3. Mark the exact location of each bracket with a pencil.

  4. Remove the brackets from the headrail and position the top of each bracket at its mark.

  5. Pre-drill with a 3/32" bit and screw each bracket to the wall or window molding with the 1 1/4" screws.

  6. Clip the headrail onto the brackets and check carefully that each bracket is secure.

Inside mount

  1. Clip the brackets onto the headrail: tuck the front edge of each bracket under the inner front edge of the headrail, then push the headrail up until the flexible tab at the bottom of the bracket snaps onto the back of the headrail.

  2. Hold the shade in place and mark the rear of each bracket where it touches the inside of the window frame.

  3. Remove the brackets from the headrail and line them up with the marks.

  4. Pre-drill with a 3/32" bit and attach each bracket with the 1 1/4" screws.

  5. Clip the headrail onto the brackets and check carefully that each bracket is secure.

Operate the shade with the remote

The upper and lower limits are set at the factory and each shade is already assigned a channel, which is marked on the shade and/or carton.

  1. Select the shade's channel on the remote.

  2. Press UP or DOWN once to move the shade to the next preset position.

  3. Press and hold UP or DOWN for about two seconds to move the shade all the way to the upper or lower limit without stopping at the intermediate position.

  4. Press STOP to stop the shade.

  5. To control several shades at once on a 6-channel remote, press the channel selector until all six lights are lit (up to 6 shades).

  6. To control several shades at once on a 16-channel remote, press the channel selector until "CC" appears in the display (up to 16 shades).

  • When the shade reaches its up position the UP button stops working, and when it reaches its down position the DOWN button stops working.

Charge the batteries

The motor battery arrives only partially charged.

  1. Connect the AC charger to the USB-C charging port on the motor head.

  2. Charge for 8 hours.

  3. Recharge whenever the red light appears on the end cap.

  • Charge each battery/motor at least once every 6 months.

Replace the remote battery and mount the holder

  1. Remove the screw on the back of the remote and slide the back plate upward slightly.

  2. Insert a 3V CR2032 coin battery and replace the cover.

  3. To mount the optional remote holder, attach it with the included screws (use wall anchors in hollow drywall), or peel the foil off the adhesive pad on the back and press it onto any clean, flat surface.

Reprogram the shade (only if needed)

Channels, pairing and limits are set at the factory, so you normally don't need these steps.

  1. Assign channels: use the channel buttons/arrows to select a dedicated channel for each shade before pairing, numbering the shades in order starting with 1.

  2. Pair the remote: press the PROGRAM button on the motor head (right side of the shade) until the shade jogs back and forth, then press UP on the remote. The shade jogs again when the motor and remote are paired.

  3. Set the upper limit: press PROGRAM on the back of the remote (the shade jogs), press UP, move the shade to the top position you want, then press PROGRAM again. The shade jogs to confirm.

  4. Set the lower limit: press PROGRAM on the back of the remote (the shade jogs), press DOWN, move the shade to the bottom position you want, then press PROGRAM again. The shade jogs to confirm.

  5. Set an intermediate position (one allowed): move the shade at least 6" away from the set limits, press PROGRAM (the shade jogs), press STOP, move the shade to the position you want and press PROGRAM to save it.

  6. Fine-tune the intermediate or lower limit: move the shade to that position, press PROGRAM (the shade jogs), use UP/DOWN to set the new position, then press PROGRAM again.

  7. Delete the intermediate position: move the shade to it, then press and hold PROGRAM on the back of the remote for about 7 seconds, until the shade jogs a second time.

  • The upper limit cannot be erased on its own; it can only be removed by deleting all memory.

Delete memory

  1. Delete all memory: press and hold STOP on the remote for about 5 seconds until the shade jogs, then press UP and STOP at the same time. The shade jogs again when all memory is deleted.

  2. Delete one channel: set the remote to that channel, press STOP for about 5 seconds until the shade jogs, then press PROGRAM on the back of the remote. The shade jogs again when the channel is deleted.
