Before you begin
Check that your package contains all the parts for your blind's width and mount type.
Choose fasteners for your mounting surface: the provided 1 1/4" rounded head screws for wood, wall anchors or expansion bolts for drywall or plaster, and sheet metal screws for metal (anchors, bolts and sheet metal screws not provided).
For an outside mount, use the mounting brackets with their mounting clips. Loosen each clip, slide it to the front of the bracket and retighten it before installing.
For an inside or ceiling mount, use the mounting clips only.
If you are butting two blinds side by side, install both with the same wand position so they stack the same way. Don't put a left-stack and a right-stack blind together for a center opening; the meeting vanes will interfere.
- Up to 47 7/8" wide: 2 brackets or clips, 4 screws (outside mount) or 2 screws (inside mount)
- Over 47 7/8" up to 78" wide: 3 brackets or clips, 6 screws (outside mount) or 3 screws (inside mount)
- Over 78" up to 120" wide: 4 brackets or clips, 8 screws (outside mount) or 4 screws (inside mount)
Inside or ceiling mount
Position the mounting clips so there is 2" of clearance from the window frame to the center holes of the clips.
Screw each clip up into the top of the window opening or the ceiling through its center hole. Anchor screws are recommended (not included).
Outside mount
Position the brackets so their bottoms line up with the top of the window frame, keeping them level.
Screw each bracket to the wall or window molding with two screws. Anchor screws are recommended (not included).
Hang the track
Remove all the shipping protectors from the track by rotating each one and lifting it off.
Decide which way the blind will stack: the tracks are reversible, and the blind stacks away from the wand tilter (for example, it stacks to the left when the wand tilter is on the right).
Tilt the track, hook its edge into the clips, then rotate the track up until it clicks into place.
To take the track down, push up on the clip release with a screwdriver and rotate the track down out of the clips.
Attach the wand, light block and vanes
Push the wand up onto the wand tilter until it clicks.
Push the wand and carriers to the end of the headrail.
Place the light block into the track groove, then press it in at the middle of the headrail and keep pressing along to the right end and then the left end until it clicks in.
With the carriers in the open position, push each vane up into its carrier with the arch facing the wand tilter.
To remove a vane, push it up to release it from the vane clip, then pull it out.
Operate the blind
Rotate the wand to tilt the vanes.
Open the vanes before you push or pull the wand to draw the blind open or closed.
If the vanes get out of sync, turn the wand all the way clockwise, then all the way counterclockwise; the vanes will return to their normal position.
