Before you begin

  1. Check the headrail for the correct width. If you ordered several blinds, match each one to its window.

  2. Keep the blind stacked as received until you finish the installation.

  3. Find the screws and other installation parts in the hardware box.

  • Every blind: 2 end brackets
  • 54" wide or more: one or more center support brackets
  • Slats 2 1/2" or wider: spacer blocks, installed behind the end brackets
  • Cloth tapes (ladder tapes): bracket shims

Inside mount

  1. Open each bracket by pressing on its latch. Brackets can go on either the left or the right.

  2. Screw the brackets into the window frame through the holes on the inside of the bracket, using at least two screws per bracket. Horizontal screws hold best.

  3. If your blind has cloth tapes, install a shim above each end bracket to give extra room between the top of the headrail and the window frame.

  4. If your slats are 2 1/2" or wider, install a spacer block behind each end bracket to keep the blind away from the glass.

Outside mount

  1. Measure the headrail and mark on the wall where its ends will be, centered on the window. Use the level to set the height.

  2. Mark the end bracket positions 1/4" outside the headrail marks; these are the outside edges of the end brackets.

  3. If your slats are 2 1/2" or wider, place a spacer block behind each end bracket to keep the blind away from the wall.

  4. Screw the end brackets against the wall with the provided screws.

Center support brackets

  1. Space the center support brackets evenly along the headrail.

  2. Inside mount: screw them to the window frame with the screws running vertically.

  3. Outside mount: level them with the end brackets and screw them against the wall.

Install the blind

  1. With the end brackets open, insert one end of the headrail, then the other.

  2. Close each bracket latch until the locking tab clicks into place.

Attach the valance

  1. Insert each magnetic valance clip into the slot on the back of the wood valance and spread them evenly along the slot.

  2. Turn the valance clips up and hang the valance from the top of the headrail.

Attach the tilt wand

The wand ships with its tip cover over the wire hook.

  1. Pull the tip cover off the wand.

  2. Slide the tip cover onto the wand tilter on the headrail.

  3. Insert the wand's wire hook into the eyelet in the wand tilter.

  4. Pull the cover down to secure the hook in place.

Operate and align the blind

  1. To raise or lower the blind, gently hold the center of the bottom rail and push up to lift it or pull down to lower it.

  2. After installing, tilt the slats open, then raise and lower the blind several times so the cords and slats align themselves.
